This course is designed for those who want to become a barber instructor. The Arizona state requirements for becoming a barber instructor include:

A high school diploma or equivalent

A valid Arizona cosmetology license, or an out-of-state equivalent license that allows the applicant to work in barbering and/or hair design

A minimum of two years licensed experience in barbering or hair design

Within six months of being issued a certificate of registration as a barber instructor, complete at least 10 hours of continuing education courses approved by the Board of Cosmetology and Barbering; this requirement may be satisfied by completing an approved course in barbering instruction or teaching techniques.
