This course provides the student with an overview of the Arizona Department of Corrections (ADC) and its policies, procedures and operations. The student will learn about the organization, functions and responsibilities of the ADC. This course will prepare students for employment as a Correctional Officer at the State Level. This is a pre-requisite course for all Correctional Officer classes at Pima Community College.

The Arizona Department of Corrections is a law enforcement agency that operates under the supervision of the Governor's Office. The ADC's mission is to protect society by housing inmates in appropriate facilities, providing public safety through confinement, rehabilitation and reintegration into society. Learning Course is a platform that helps students to study and learn. The platform provides all the required material for the students to study. The material includes Study guide, Exam Questions & Answers, Study Notes and other resources that are useful for the students. It also gives information about the upcoming exams so that students can prepare themselves accordingly.
