Arizona (AZ) Dispensing Optician Learning Course

[Arizona (AZ) Dispensing Optician Learning Course] The Dispensing Optician Learning Course is designed to prepare students to sit for the Dispensing Optician National Board Examination (D.O.N.B.) and become a Certified Dispensing Optician (C.D.O.). The course will provide students with an overview of the skills needed in dispensing opticianry, including fitting and dispensing glasses, contact lenses, as well as lens cutting and grinding. Students will learn about equipment used in dispensing opticianry, including optical meters and microscopes, as well as how to use them properly. Students will practice their skills by working on patients in the lab throughout the semester.

Students must be at least 18 years of age at time of enrollment and have completed a high school education or its equivalent with a minimum 3.2 GPA on a 4.0 scale (on all college level work).
