The Arizona Board of Funeral Directors and Embalmers is responsible for licensing and regulating funeral directors, funeral establishments and embalmers. The Board is responsible for ensuring the public receives adequate information on how to choose a licensed funeral establishment or embalmer.

Funeral director interns are individuals who have completed a training program under the supervision of a licensed funeral director/embalmer, who has been actively practicing for at least one year. The intern must also be at least 18 years old. Funeral director interns may assist with funerals, but cannot conduct them without being licensed as a funeral director/embalmer by the Arizona State Board of Funeral Directors and Embalmers.
Funeral directors work in all types of settings including mortuary or crematory facilities, hospitals, cemeteries or other facilities that provide funeral services such as chapels, churches or hospices. They may also provide these services directly to families at their homes or businesses if they have sufficient space available Learning Course is a platform that helps students to study and learn.
