This is a three-day course designed to provide the knowledge and skills needed to apply the principles of AM directional drilling. The course covers the theory and application of directional drilling, including rig operations, drilling fluids and mud engineering, measurement systems, drill bit selection and design, drilling fluid properties, drilling mechanics and geology. The course also provides hands-on experience in tool design and selection, drilling techniques and equipment operation. This course is designed for personnel involved in the design, operation or supervision of directional drilling operations.

Describe basic principles of directional drilling;

Explain how directional driller tools work;

Apply fundamental concepts of directional drilling;

Explain basic geologic considerations in directional drilling;
