Michigan (MI) Counselor, Licensed Professional License Learning Course

The Licensed Professional License Learning Course is designed for graduates of approved educational programs in the field of professional counseling. The course is designed to aid students in meeting the requirements for licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). The course consists of two parts: one-on-one study with a licensed clinical mental health therapist and online learning.

Part 1: One-On-One Study with a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Therapist

The first part of your training will be an individualized experience where you spend 40 hours per week with an expert clinician. You will work closely with your mentor to develop skills in areas including: self-care, managing relationships, multicultural competency, systems theory, human development, assessment and diagnosis, treatment planning and implementation, ethics and professionalism. You will also learn about research based evidence based practices.

Part 2: Online Learning

Once you have completed Part 1 you will move on to Part 2 which includes 120 hours of online learning that includes practice tests and quizzes in addition to assignments requiring written responses or assessments of client sessions. License Learning Course is a platform that helps students to study and learn. The platform provides all the required material for the students to study. The material includes Study guide, Exam Questions & Answers, Study Notes and other resources that are useful for the students. It also gives information about the upcoming exams so that students can prepare themselves accordingly.
