This course is intended to assist the water operator with preparation for the Water Operator Certification Exam. The Minnesota Department of Health has approved this course as meeting the requirements for preparation for the Minnesota Water Operator Certification Exam. This course is designed to provide an opportunity for students to practice taking the certification exam prior to taking the actual exam. The student will have access to all of the same knowledge areas covered in the actual exam, as well as an additional section covering water treatment chemicals and corrosion control.

The Minnesota Department of Health requires that all water operators pass this exam within one year of hire or promotion. All new employee testing must be completed within 90 days of hire date or promotion date. The exam must be taken online at www.redcrosswatertestprep.org or on-site at any Red Cross Training Center located throughout Minnesota and North Dakota, including Grand Forks and Bemidji locations in North Dakota and Rochester location in Minnesota).
