The Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries (BOLI) administers the Farm Labor Contractor Law, which requires all agricultural employers who use farm labor contractors to register with BOLI or operate without a license if they are exempt from registration. The registration process requires each employer to submit an application, pay a fee and post a bond with BOLI.
The Farm Labor Contractor Law defines farm labor contractor as anyone who recruits, solicits or hires workers for agricultural employment; or negotiates terms of employment on behalf of an agricultural employer; or arranges transportation for workers to the place of employment.
