Module 1 - Basic Anatomy and Physiology (4 hours) - Introduction to the anatomy and physiology of the ear; hearing loss; principles of amplification; basic concepts in acoustics. Module 2 - Basic Acoustics (4 hours) - Frequency response curve; impedances; impedance matching devices; acoustic gain curves; filter characteristics; microphones and receivers.
