Landscaping is a growing industry and the demand for landscape architects is increasing. The South Dakota Board of Landscape Architects offers a course to help students prepare for the national exam. The exam is held annually in February at the South Dakota Board office.

Students must complete the course with a grade of B or better to receive their certificate of completion. Students must also pass the national exam with a passing score of 75%.

The South Dakota Board of Landscape Architects offers three courses:

Landscape Architecture Practice Exam Preparation Course - This course includes nine online modules that cover all sections of the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) Landscape Architect Registration Exam (LARE). The cost is $150 per person, which includes all fees associated with taking the test. Payment is due at registration time. Learning Course is a platform that helps students to study and learn. The platform provides all the required material for the students to study. The material includes Study guide, Exam Questions & Answers, Study Notes and other resources that are useful for the students. It also gives information about the upcoming exams so that students can prepare themselves accordingly.
