[South Dakota Nurse, Licensed Practical Learning Course] South Dakota Nurse, Licensed Practical Learning Course
South Dakota is one of the few states that provides this type of license. For more than 40 years, it has allowed individuals who have already completed the nursing program to take a test and become licensed in their home state. The South Dakota Nurse Practical Nursing Program is designed for students who have completed an approved nursing program at an accredited school or university and wish to become licensed as a practical nurse in South Dakota.
The South Dakota Nurse Practical Nursing Program consists of a combination of classroom study and clinical experience at one of our participating hospitals or clinics. The classroom portion will prepare you for your career in nursing by teaching you about various aspects of health care, including infection control and prevention, anatomy/physiology and pharmacology.
You will also learn how to perform basic skills such as taking vital signs and administering medications orally or through injection. You'll develop skills related to basic patient care such as bathing and dressing patients, assisting them with eating meals and cleaning wounds using sterile technique (the use of gloves and other protective devices). Finally, you'll gain knowledge about dealing with patients on ventilators or those suffering from delirium (a medical condition characterized by confusion). Learning Course is a platform that helps students to study and learn. The platform provides all the required material for the students to study. The material includes Study guide, Exam Questions & Answers, Study Notes and other resources that are useful for the students. It also gives information about the upcoming exams so that students can prepare themselves accordingly.
