The South Dakota Board of Pharmacy requires that all applicants for the pharmacy technician license take the South Dakota Pharmacy Technician Learning Course. This course is offered by the University of South Dakota School of Pharmacy. The course is open to anyone who is interested in learning more about pharmacy practice.

The purpose of this course is to prepare you for a career as a pharmacy technician in South Dakota. The course provides you with an opportunity to learn about state and federal laws and regulations, safety issues related to drugs, medications and pharmaceuticals, drug interactions, and other topics related to safe pharmacy practice.

The course is designed for individuals who have little or no prior experience working in a pharmacy setting. It can be taken completely online or in person at one of the following locations: Learning Course is a platform that helps students to study and learn.
