South Dakota Wastewater Treatment Operator Learning Course
[South Dakota Wastewater Treatment Operator Learning Course] The Wastewater Treatment Operator Certification Program is a training and certification program for wastewater treatment plant operators. The program is jointly sponsored by the South Dakota Department of Environment and Natural Resources, Division of Water Quality, Water Pollution Control Advisory Committee, and the South Dakota League of Cities' Municipal Utility Service Association.
The purpose of this program is to certify wastewater treatment plant operators in South Dakota who have met minimum skill levels and have demonstrated knowledge of basic concepts related to wastewater treatment operations. The certification program will also promote cooperation between municipalities and regulators in providing safe drinking water to citizens.
The Wastewater Treatment Operator Certification Program consists of a set of courses that provide training on basic concepts related to wastewater treatment operations. The courses are provided by local utilities or other agencies approved by the Division. Each operator must complete all required courses within five years after being hired as an operator or transfer into a position requiring operator certification (e.g., supervisor). Learning Course is a platform that helps students to study and learn. The platform provides all the required material for the students to study. The material includes Study guide, Exam Questions & Answers, Study Notes and other resources that are useful for the students. It also gives information about the upcoming exams so that students can prepare themselves accordingly.
