Tennessee (TN) FIRE EXTINGUISHER TECHNICIAN License Learning Course

Tennessee requires that a person must pass an examination, administered by the State Fire Commissioner or his designee, before being licensed as an inspector. The examination shall be designed to determine an applicant's knowledge of the provisions of this chapter and any rules promulgated thereunder. The State Fire Commissioner may request that the Tennessee Department of Labor & Workforce Development provide the examination.

The State Fire Commissioner may hire or contract with competent persons to conduct the testing. The cost of administering such tests shall be borne by the applicant.
