[Tennessee (TN) ORTHOTIST License Learning Course] Orthotic License Learning Courses are designed to provide you with the skills and knowledge needed to be a successful orthotist. The courses are structured to teach you about the anatomy, biomechanics and physiology of the musculoskeletal system; how to measure and assess patients; how to design, fabricate and fit orthoses for patients; and how to manage patients post-fitting.

The Tennessee Orthotic License Learning Course is designed for those who are new to orthotics and want a comprehensive introduction to the profession. The course provides students with an overview of the history, scope of practice and ethics of orthotics as well as an introduction to the diagnosis and treatment planning process. Students will also learn how to apply basic principles of biomechanics in order to properly evaluate a patient’s needs through gait analysis.

The Tennessee Orthotic License Learning Course is taught by experienced professionals in the field who will share their years of knowledge through both classroom instruction and hands-on training with patients during lab sessions at one of our partner hospitals or clinics each week of class (approximately 2 hours per day).Tennessee (TN) ORTHOTIST License Learning Course

The state of Tennessee requires that orthotists be licensed and registered with the state. The Board of Orthotic/Prosthetic Care is responsible for licensing and registering orthotists in Tennessee. To maintain licensure and registration, an orthotist must complete 24 hours of continuing education every two years.

Continuing Education Requirements:

A minimum of 24 hours of continuing education annually is required. If you have been out of practice for more than two years, you will need to complete 40 hours to get back into practice. The one hour course “Introduction to Orthotic/Prosthetic Care” can count towards this requirement. License Learning Course is a platform that helps students to study and learn. The platform provides all the required material for the students to study. The material includes Study guide, Exam Questions & Answers, Study Notes and other resources that are useful for the students. It also gives information about the upcoming exams so that students can prepare themselves accordingly.
