Physician Assistants (PAs) are health care professionals who practice medicine under the supervision of physicians. PAs work in a variety of settings, including hospitals, private office-based practices, educational institutions and long-term care facilities. The role of PAs has expanded over the past decade to include primary care and other clinical areas that were traditionally performed by physicians.
The Physician Assistant Program at Middle Tennessee State University is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP), upon recommendation of the Committee on Accreditation for Physician Assistant Education (CoA). CAAHEP is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as an accrediting agency for education programs that prepare students to become physician assistants.
The mission of the Physician Assistant Program at Middle Tennessee State University is to prepare graduates to provide health care services under the direction of physicians who have completed advanced training in their specialty area(s) and have been certified by national professional organizations; to provide all students with a strong foundation in basic sciences, as well as clinical experience; to ensure all graduates possess knowledge necessary for successful entry into License Learning Course is a platform that helps students to study and learn. The platform provides all the required material for the students to study. The material includes Study guide, Exam Questions & Answers, Study Notes and other resources that are useful for the students. It also gives information about the upcoming exams so that students can prepare themselves accordingly.
