[Tennessee (TN) PROFESSIONAL ARCHITECT License Learning Course] The Tennessee Professional Architect License Learning Course is designed to provide the minimum educational requirements for the successful completion of the Architect Registration Examination (ARE) Part I. This course will prepare you for the ARE Part I.
The course consists of two parts:
Part A - Overview of Professional Practice (1 hour)
This course will provide an overview of professional practice and discuss how to establish a successful practice as an architect. It will also cover topics such as business structure, ethics, liability insurance, contracts, and legal issues related to architectural practice in Tennessee.
Part B - Business Management (2 hours)
This course will focus on business management skills needed by architects to successfully manage their firms while maintaining their licenses and professional reputation. Topics covered include client relations, time management, marketing skills, financial management, human resources management and project management techniques.
