The Tennessee Psychological Assistant Practice Act, effective January 1, 2019, requires licensure for practitioners with a master's degree in psychology who provide psychological services to the public. The law defines a psychological assistant as an individual who is not licensed by the Board of Psychology but who works under the supervision of a licensed psychologist. To be eligible for licensure, applicants must submit proof of completion of at least two years of supervised practice in psychology in an approved setting and meet other requirements as specified by rule.

The purpose of this course is to prepare individuals for licensure as a Psychological Assistant in Tennessee by providing them with information about the requirements for licensure and how to meet those requirements.
