The Tennessee Psychology Board is responsible for the regulation of the practice of psychology in Tennessee. The Psychology Board licenses psychologists, investigates complaints against licensees, and issues orders to resolve complaints. Licensed psychologists are required to complete continuing education hours every two years. The Psychology Board also issues licenses to clinical social workers, marriage and family therapists, psychiatric nurses, professional counselors, and substance abuse counselors.
