In this course, you will learn to give a men's haircut, nose and ear hair trimming, shave and facial treatment. You will also learn how to apply hair color. This course is designed for the beginner barber who wants to enter the profession or for those who have been out of work for some time and need a refresher course in barbering. This class is a blend of lecture and hands-on practice. When you enroll in this course, you will receive a textbook which contains all the information covered in class. You are expected to read portions of the textbook prior to class so that you can participate fully during class time. You will need no prior knowledge of barbering in order to enroll in this course; however, it is recommended that students have some experience cutting hair before they take this course because it will enhance their ability to learn new techniques more quickly.
