The Vermont Chemical Suppression Systems Learning Course is a one-day program that provides participants with the opportunity to learn about and practice using fixed fire suppression systems on a small-scale model of an industrial facility.

The course is designed for individuals who are responsible for designing, installing, operating or maintaining fixed fire suppression systems in their workplace. Participants should be knowledgeable about building construction, fire protection systems (sprinkler and standpipe), fire alarm systems and general electrical knowledge.

The Vermont Chemical Suppression Systems Learning Course is developed by the Vermont State Fire Academy in collaboration with the Vermont Department of Public Safety Training Center and supported by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA). This program has been approved by NFPA to meet NFPA Standard 17A: Standard for Installation of Sprinkler Systems (1997 edition). Learning Course is a platform that helps students to study and learn.
