Vermont Occupational Therapist Learning Course

[Vermont Occupational Therapist Learning Course] A Vermont Occupational Therapist Learning Course is a course of instruction in the practice of occupational therapy. The course must be approved by the Board and must include at least 30 contact hours of instruction. The Board may waive the requirement for a Vermont Occupational Therapist Learning Course if the applicant holds a current license in another state that has licensure requirements that are substantially similar to those in Vermont.

Vermont Occupational Therapist Learning Courses must include:

1) General information regarding the scope of practice, ethics, and confidentiality as well as information about health care law and regulation, including but not limited to statutes, rules, policies and procedures;

2) Current information regarding clinical practice guidelines and standards of care;

3) Current information regarding pertinent federal regulations applicable to Medicare Part B services;

4) Current information regarding pertinent state regulations applicable to Medicaid services;

5) Current information regarding pertinent state laws or regulations applicable to third party payors or managed care plans; Learning Course is a platform that helps students to study and learn.
