In Vermont, podiatrists are licensed by the Board of Podiatry Examiners in the Department of Public Safety. Podiatrists who wish to practice in Vermont must complete a post-graduate residency program, pass an examination and meet continuing education requirements. The Board has established a minimum requirement of 1,500 hours of clinical experience before graduation from a residency program.
