The VA Architect Practice Act requires that you complete an approved Architectural License Learning Course before applying for licensure. The course will provide you with the necessary knowledge and skills to begin your career in architecture. You will learn about building design, building code requirements, construction documents, construction administration and project management.

The Virginia Board for Architects has partnered with BIMS to offer this course online. This program is designed specifically for those who wish to work in the architecture profession in Virginia. It has been approved by the Virginia Board for Architects and includes all of the necessary learning outcomes required by law.

The course consists of 30 hours of training over a period of 10 weeks. Each week there are two 2-hour classes that allow you to progress at your own pace while receiving feedback from instructors and classmates along the way License Learning Course is a platform that helps students to study and learn. The material includes Study guide, Exam Questions & Answers, Study Notes and other resources that are useful for the students.
