[Virginia (VA) Athletic Trainers License Learning Course] The Athletic Trainers License Learning Course is designed for athletic trainers and other healthcare professionals who provide comprehensive care to athletes.
The two-year program is offered by the University of Virginia School of Medicine's Department of Physical Therapy in partnership with the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Allied Health Professions (SAHP). This program will prepare graduates to sit for the Board of Certification in Athletic Training (BOC AT) exam. The BOC AT is the national certification examination required for entry into practice as an athletic trainer.
Graduates will be eligible to sit for the national certification examination after passing both written and practical components.
