The Washington State Clinical Nurse Specialist program is an intensive, full-time, post-master's certificate program. The curriculum is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to be an entry-level clinical nurse specialist in a variety of healthcare settings. The goal of the program is to develop competent, caring professionals who will enhance quality care for individuals, families and groups through evidence-based practice that empowers clients to improve their health status.

Upon successful completion of this program, graduates will be able to:
Demonstrate knowledge and application of the principles of practice based on current research findings related to health promotion and disease prevention;
