The Washington State Office of the Medical Examiner (OMI) is a government agency that works with law enforcement and other agencies to ensure that all deaths in the state of Washington are properly investigated and reported. The OMI is responsible for determining the cause and manner of death, as well as performing autopsies on deceased individuals.

The MorticianMortician Learning Course is an intensive program designed to provide students with the knowledge, skills and competencies needed to pursue a career in mortuary science.

This course consists of two phases: Phase I is a 90-hour classroom component that provides students with the opportunity to learn about anatomy and physiology; pathology; emergency care; pharmacology; embalming; restorative art; cosmetic art; public health law and ethics; embalming theory and practice; and funeral service operations. Phase II consists of an additional 60 hours of hands-on training during which students will gain experience working with cadavers in simulated environments.

Upon completion of this program, students will be eligible to sit for the Washington State Board of Mortuary Science exam. Learning Course is a platform that helps students to study and learn. The material includes Study guide, Exam Questions & Answers, Study Notes and other resources that are useful for the students. It also gives information about the upcoming exams so that students can prepare themselves accordingly.
