The Structural Engineer Learning Course is an approved training program for structural engineers. This course meets or exceeds the requirements for the Washington State Structural Engineering Credential and is a prerequisite for the national examination to become a licensed professional engineer (PE).

The Structural Engineer Learning Course consists of 3 units:

Structural Design Fundamentals: covers the fundamentals of structural design and analysis. Topics include statics, load analysis, structural members, connections, and analysis methods. Students learn how to apply these concepts in practical situations through homework assignments and case studies.

Design & Analysis of Steel Members: covers steel members such as girders, columns, beams, trusses, frames and more. Students learn how to design these structures using industry-standard software applications such as Autodesk® Inventor® Professional software. This unit also teaches students how to use computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software to generate manufacturing specifications for steel members and calculate their costs.

Advanced Steel Design Concepts: covers advanced topics such as seismic design requirements; composite steel deck design; steel erection; corrosion protection systems; fire safety codes; environmental considerations such as energy efficiency Learning Course is a platform that helps students to study and learn. The platform provides all the required material for the students to study. The material includes Study guide, Exam Questions & Answers, Study Notes and other resources that are useful for the students. It also gives information about the upcoming exams so that students can prepare themselves accordingly.
