[West Virginia (WV) Acupuncturists Learning Course] The West Virginia Acupuncture Practice Act allows licensed acupuncturists to practice acupuncture in the state. The West Virginia Board of Acupuncture offers a Learning Course that is a requirement for licensure. The course is offered in both English and Spanish, and it covers a wide range of topics. It includes information on acupuncture theory, history and philosophy, as well as basic sciences such as anatomy and physiology. Students will also be taught how to perform diagnostic procedures and physical examinations, as well as how to administer treatment using various forms of acupuncture.

The West Virginia Acupuncture Practice Act requires all applicants for licensure to complete this course within one year of application.
