West Virginia is one of the few states that requires a license for chiropractors who wish to practice there. The state's Board of Chiropractic Examiners maintains strict regulations, which include the West Virginia Chiropractor Practice Act and the Rules of Law and Regulations Governing the Practice of Chiropractic in West Virginia.

The West Virginia Chiropractor Practice Act was first adopted in 1939 and has been amended several times since then. It provides guidelines for selecting practitioners, as well as defining what constitutes malpractice and other rules governing the practice of chiropractic medicine in the state.

In order to obtain a license to practice chiropractic medicine in West Virginia, an applicant must meet certain requirements set out by law. He or she must complete at least three years of study at an accredited college or university with an emphasis on anatomy, physiology and psychology; pass an examination administered by the board; submit proof of good moral character; have no felony convictions; and have completed at least 1,500 hours of internship under an approved supervising physician with privileges to treat patients with musculoskeletal conditions within 60 days after passing his or her exam Learning Course is a platform that helps students to study and learn.
