The West Virginia (WV) Forester Learning Course is for individuals who are interested in becoming a certified forester in the state of West Virginia. The course is offered by the West Virginia University Extension Service and consists of two modules: a core course and an elective course. The core course covers topics such as forestry law, forest ecology, forest economics and silviculture. The elective course allows students to choose from several different topics including trees, shrubs and vines, insects and diseases or wildlife habitat management.
