[West Virginia (WV) Superintendent Learning Course] The West Virginia Superintendent Learning Course is a two-year program designed to prepare candidates for the West Virginia superintendent licensure exam. The course provides candidates with the knowledge and skills needed to become school leaders in the state of West Virginia.

The course focuses on leadership, instructional leadership, policy and legislation, budgeting, human resources, technology, finance and other areas of superintendent responsibility.

Course Objectives

To help candidates gain knowledge of major areas of superintendent responsibilities in West Virginia elementary and secondary schools;

To provide candidates with an opportunity to develop their skills in leading their own school system;
