The Wisconsin Dental Hygienist Practice Act requires that a licensed dental hygienist complete at least 30 hours of practice in dental hygiene each licensure period.

To maintain current licensure, an individual must complete at least 10 hours of continuing education in each licensure cycle. The following are acceptable ways to fulfill the continuing education requirement:

attend a course or seminar lasting at least eight hours;

participate in a continuing education program provided by a school of dentistry which is approved by the dean of the school of dentistry and is accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation;

complete a course offered through an approved postdoctoral residency program in dental hygiene;

participate in an online learning experience that has been approved by the board;

complete a course offered by an organization that is recognized by the board as a source for continuing education credit;

provide proof of completion from any other acceptable source as determined by the board. License Learning Course is a platform that helps students to study and learn.
