This course is designed to provide participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to pass the AWS Certified Weld Test Conductor examination. The course covers topics such as welding process, consumable selection, welding variables, special inspection methods and radiographic interpretation. This is a hands-on course with a focus on practical applications.
The course is intended for individuals who want to become certified weld test conductors in accordance with AWS D1.1-2011, AWS D1.7-2011, ASTM F2858-05 Standard Specification for Ultrasonic Examination of Welds in Pipelines and Related Facilities.
Delegate Prerequisites:
Participants must have completed an appropriate degree program in engineering or science including courses in welding technology, materials science and metallurgy as well as practical experience in welding applications. Participants should also have completed a minimum of three years' experience as a welder or welding inspector performing radiographic examinations of welds on pipelines and related facilities.
